Summer sobremesa
The high summer capsule is inspired by the Spanish tradition of sobremesa. Sobremesa translates literally as “over the table,” and refers to the time spent sitting at the table chatting and enjoying each other’s company after lunch or dinner. This is a very common tradition in Spain, and is accentuated during the Summer since the days are longer and the heat is more intense outside of the shade.
The Balearic Islands are a very iconic Spanish summer destination, and we’ve wanted to draw inspiration from its local fabrics and materials which make for a perfect local sobremesa. If you were to experience one of these sobremesas, apart from the ever-present food and drinks, you would come across colorful shutters, wicker furniture, and “tela de lengua” fabrics, an important stamp of the Mediterranean lifestyle that defines us as a whole.
